It’s been a busy summer with plenty of activities to go. And in late August, it’s time to return to our regular weekly activities keeping us in sync with back-to-school.

Ongoing

Filling the Blessing Boxes in West Ashley.  There’s one at our church to the left of the sanctuary on Moore Drive and 18 more throughout West Ashley.  Leave nonperishable food in the boxes. It’s a way you can anonymously help others in need.

Donate to the Good Samaritan Fund. This is a discretionary fund used by the pastor to help people with special one-time needs. Any financial giving to this fund is most appreciated. Small denomination gift cards ($5/$10 cards) are also appreciated.

  • July 29-31 – Benchwarmers 2024. Rising 6-9th graders are invited to go to Tampa  to visit Give Kids The World, a free resort in Orlando for kids who have medical conditions that keep them from having a normal childhood. The group also visits a Tampa Baseball game.
  • July 31 – Handbell Workshop – Open to all who are interested in learing to play handbells during worship
  • August 5 – Red Cross Blood Drive 
  • August 7 and August 14 – Summer Sing-Along with Margaret, our director of music.
  • August 18 – Back to Sunday School 
  • August 25 – Members in Ministry Celebration Breakfast and fair with tables from Sunday School classes, small groups and outreach activities. All are invited to come and look at the many ways to get more involved in ministry and service.
  • August 28 – Wednesday Night Out Kick-Off with a meal and activities for children and youth, and Bible Study for adults. This marks the beginning of the fall 2024 Wednesday night programming.
  • September 30 – Red Cross Blood Drive.
