Services and Activities during Lent
The following activities are scheduled in the weeks leading up to Easter.
Ongoing till April 17 | Outreach Lenten Mission Project
Help us stock the Lowcountry Orphan Relief Closet. Help provide necessities such as school uniform tops and bottoms, ethnic hair care, socks, backpacks and school supplies. Leave items in the Outreach Lenten Mission Project box outside the church office. More information. |

Each year John Wesley children fill 150+ Easter baskets for the children at Mary Ford Elementary and those served by Halos. You can leave your donations in the front hall.

Cinderella Project
This annual project is open to all high school girls who are looking for a prom dress so they can feel like Cinderella. The boutique with formal dresses, gowns, purses and jewelry takes place in the Leisure Ministries Room from 10-2

1st Sunday in Lent
Traditional and Contemporary Worship Services Worship services will follow the same schedule through Lent until Easter Sunday. Traditional worship in the sanctuary takes place at 8:30 and 11 AM. The contemporary service is in the Leisure Ministries Room at 11 AM.

Red Cross Blood Drive
Drop in or set up an appointment to give blood and help address the critically low supply of blood in the Lowcountry. You can sign up here.

Stewards of Children Training

Friday Night in the Gym (Parents Night Out) For ages 4 through 5th graders. Younger children may attend with a parent. Admission is a donation of items for the Easter Basket Project. We will also accept monetary donations to offset the cost of pizza and supplies. Sign up to attend by Tuesday, March 8.

Saturday Servants
Gather in the church parking lot at 9 AM to get bags of food and other supplies to distribute to the blessing boxes in West Ashley.

UMW General Meeting
The United Women of Faith (UMW) will meet on Monday, March 13 at 5:45 pm for a quick salad bar and then will immediately hear from Aaron Comstock from Uplift Charleston. Uplift Charleston addresses homelessness in the Charleston community as well as servicing those who are in poverty or considered the working poor. It is a ministry that does not merely preach to others but shares the love of Jesus Christ through actions. Uplift Charleston is in desperate need of men’s clothing and men’s and women’s shoes. All women are invited.

Easter Egg Hunt on the lawn
All children and their parents are welcome to join the annual Easter Egg Hunt on the lawn before the beginning of Holy Week. The Easter Bunny will be there as well as a photographer to capture the magic moments with the children.

HOLY WEEK – Palm Sunday
The start of Holy Week — the annual Palm Sunday service — features the children of the church processing in and waving palm branches. Services in the santuary are at 8:30 and 11 am. The contemporary service in the Leisure Ministries Room is at 11 am.

HOLY WEEK – Maundy Thursday – Communion Service
The Maundy Thursday communion service reminds us of the Last Supper Jesus had with his disciples before he was betrayed by Judas.

HOLY WEEK – Friday Youth Cross Walk
Youth in the church provide a poignant reminder of Good Friday by carrying the three crosses along Savannah Highway as a witness to passersby of the significance of this day.
