Fun at the January Basketball Tournament

John Wesley Youth proved that not only can they play basketball but they are also great sports. At the United Methodist Basketball Tournament in Camden on January 8th,
Our Jr. Hi Boys and Girls Teams placed 3rd in the State. Our Jr. Hi Girls Team was awarded the Sportsmanship Award for the Tournament. Our Senior Hi Boys Team earned the runner -up spot in the game for the State Championship.

Youth Minister David Boudolf said of the tournament, “Our Teams represented John Wesley in a manner that stands out. Our teams consist of fine young people. They make up proud here every week and they have made us proud in this Tournament setting.”

Summer 2021:  Youth Mission Week –  Putting faith into action

“Stay where you are. Find your own Calcutta. Find the sick and lonely right where you are.”

— Mother Teresa

Youth and adults from John Wesley joined with those from First Isle of Palms, Aldersgate and St. Andrews Parrish Methodist churches for Youth Mission Week. They volunteered at  sites at HomeWorks, TriCounty Family Ministries, LEARN Horse Rescue, Shifa Health Clinic, Beyond OUr Walls and East Cooper Community Outreach.  Youth from middle school through high school worked together to make a difference in the community.
