Music Ministry

John Wesley's music ministry consists of congregational singing, chancel choir, youth choir, children's choirs, instrumental ensembles, and soloists. Our desire is to use as many people as possible to lift high the name of Christ through music. Youth Ministry

John Wesley's youth ministry responds to the social and spiritual needs of our youth by providing fun and meaningful programs, activities, and events that will assist them in faith development and in becoming a disciple of Christ.  Youth are encouraged to use their individual talents and skills in the programs and ministries of JW. For more information about our youth ministry, please visit our Youth Ministry website or our John Wesley Youth Ministry Facebook Page.  Additional questions? Stephen Ministry

If you have a caring heart, consider becoming a Stephen Minister. Stephen Ministers are trained to provide high quality, one-on-one Christian care to those journeying through grief whether from the loss of a loved one, serious illness or other difficult life changes. The Stephen Ministry is a practical and powerful way to respond to Christ’s commandment to love one another as He has loved us.  For more information, contact  Pastor Karen Jones

United Methodist Men

This men's group meets periodically for fellowship, inspiration, and the planning of service projects and events.  Among the regular activities are:  a golf tournament fundraiser, a college scholarship fund, a father/daughter banquet, men's breakfasts, periodic joint meetings with United Methodist Women, an annual fish fry, and an annual spaghetti supper.  The group's primary purpose is to acknowledge the centrality of Christ in the lives of men and in all our relationships.

United Methodist Women

The United Methodist Women's (UMW) purpose is to know God and experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop creative, caring, supportive friendships; and to expand the concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.  Members of John Wesley's UMW are divided among circles which meet on various days.  A general meeting for all members is held on the third Tuesday of every month. UMW has a strong committment to mission outreach as evidenced by their many agency partners.

The Prime Timers

Prime Timers, a group of senior adults (age 55+), meet at noon on the second Tuesday of each month for lunch and an informative, entertaining, or inspirational program.

Wednesday Night Out

A church-wide dinner each Wednesday from 5:15-6:30pm (September-May) followed by long and short-term bible studies for adults and Wednesday Night Out Children's Programs for various age groups.  Please contact the church office for further information (843-766-5596).

Join us for a day, for a week, or for forever. Hope is alive!
