First unload is on Sunday, September 29

It’s easy to see how John Wesley UMC gets its nickname in West Ashley as “the pumpkin church.”  Once again, a tractor trailer filled with pumpkins will be headed to the church parking to start the 2019 pumpkin sale season on September 29th.

Pumpkins on the lawn

Each October pumpkins decorate the front lawn. Sales raise money for youth missions.

Youth Minister David Boudolf says that on that Sunday, the church will be serving pizzas and salad in the LMR from noon-12:30 for helpers. Pumpkins are supposed to arrive by 12:30 pm.

All hands are needed to help unload and arrange the pumpkins. Please bring gloves and carts to help make the job go more quickly.

A second load of pumpkins is due to arrive on October 13th.

Watch the website for a link to sign-ups to help sell the pumpkins during the month of October.
